This is a little beast. It is extremely punchy, extremely aggressive, has a very warm sound and can go without distortions to insane levels, with difficult speakers and barely heating. Do not use the loudness and the tone control. Just the selector, and volume butons. It is quite massive and hefty for it's small size, weighs about 5 kg heavier than some full sized amps to mm this one is a mm one.
And it has more rage than many amps, even from technics. For example, it is more punchy and aggressive, than the SU Sounds close to my SUK, at low volume, it is quite close.
Can t compare it to the mighty beasts, SU-V8 or , but for it's size, slightly smaller than a record jacket, it really fills the room. Even more expressive than a SU A Don't get fooled by it's small size. It is a small mean aggressive beast. Got it from a flea market just to test it as I like Technics. And I May sau that it went beyond my expectations. Also tested it with Marantz Imperial 9 and HD I wanted it for office, but it is too powerful.
Usually it is cheap, but has the power and quality of sound of more expensive amps. It is marked as 2x30w, but in my opinion, I guess somewhere like 2x60 w at peak. With a very advanced Phono only MM Pre Amp and a very nice power amp, this one sounds charming and quite warm.
Inside you find 4 modules which can be removed for maintenance. You need to check the bias when one channel is quieter than the other. If you are looking for an small office amp this is the right one for you.

I know, ST-C04 is it's pair, but I found that the analogue tuner is more More sexy. Now, the amplifier is driving a pair of Yamaha Ns , borowed from a friend. And also tried it with some KEF s, and wharfedales and some infinity, and really drives without any effort, every speaker system, even difficult speakers.
It is one of my main systems, sounds charming. To bad, the loudness destroys the sound, so for the tone control. It may not display this or other websites correctly.
